Responsibilities
- Lead one of the organization's six engineering teams, contributing to technical and team development goals.
- Be matched to a team—such as Banking or Prepaid Cards—where your leadership strengths will make the greatest impact.
- Support engineers in advancing their careers through regular one-on-one meetings, constructive feedback, and coaching.
- Ensure high technical standards by overseeing code quality, architectural decisions, and team-defined best practices.
- Report directly to the Director of Engineering for alignment and strategic direction.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role such as engineering manager or tech lead.
- Demonstrated technical judgment with consistent success in selecting and justifying effective technical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong product sense with the ability to guide development priorities and clearly communicate product goals to engineers.
- Champion the responsible use of AI in daily workflows, promoting adoption while maintaining rigorous quality standards.
- Attract and retain talent by fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Show high levels of empathy toward team members and end users, with the ability to understand diverse perspectives.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with technologies such as Ruby on Rails, TypeScript and React, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud is beneficial but not required.

$180k - $240k base salary
