About the Role
Manage a team of engineers responsible for developing and maintaining internal platforms, infrastructure tools, and developer-facing systems that support rapid product development across engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of software engineers building core platform systems
- Collaborate with engineering leads to identify infrastructure needs
- Drive the design and implementation of scalable internal tools
- Improve developer workflows and reduce time to production
- Set technical direction for platform components
- Mentor engineers in best practices for system design and reliability
- Evaluate new technologies for integration into the stack
- Ensure platform solutions meet security and compliance standards
- Coordinate cross-team initiatives involving shared infrastructure
- Monitor system performance and lead incident response efforts
- Establish metrics to measure platform effectiveness
- Balance short-term delivery with long-term technical health
- Foster a culture of operational excellence
- Work closely with product teams to understand tooling requirements
- Streamline deployment and CI/CD processes
- Promote reuse and standardization across engineering teams
- Manage sprint planning and team delivery timelines
- Conduct code and architecture reviews
- Troubleshoot complex system-level issues
- Document system designs and operational procedures
- Support onboarding of engineers to internal platforms
- Advocate for developer experience improvements
- Identify automation opportunities across workflows
- Maintain high availability and uptime for critical systems
- Drive adoption of platform services across engineering
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in computer science or related field

Compensation
$180,000 - $220,000 per year
