Overstory is looking for an Engineering Manager, Machine Learning to lead and grow a team focused on developing impactful machine learning solutions. You will be responsible for guiding technical projects, fostering a collaborative engineering culture, and contributing to the company's strategic direction.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of machine learning engineers, supporting their technical growth and career development.
- Drive the end-to-end delivery of ML projects, from research and prototyping to production deployment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with product managers and other engineering leads to define roadmaps and set technical strategy.
- Establish and uphold best practices for machine learning development, testing, and model lifecycle management.
- Manage team priorities, project timelines, and resource allocation effectively.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead managing a team of machine learning or data science professionals.
- Strong background in designing, building, and maintaining scalable ML systems in production.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Experience with hiring, onboarding, and developing engineering talent.
- A track record of successful cross-functional partnership with product, research, and infrastructure teams.
