Responsibilities
- Establish and guide a newly forming team by shaping hiring practices, team rituals, workflows, and engineering culture as it scales.
- Serve as a hands-on leader by writing code, reviewing designs and pull requests, and influencing technical direction while mentoring team growth.
- Take full engineering responsibility for systems that support provider onboarding, customization, benchmarking, and growth-related sales and marketing functions.
- Collaborate closely with product, sales, and marketing teams to identify early provider needs and convert insights into actionable engineering deliverables.
- Lead the development of customer-facing features with a focus on user experience, helping the team balance business goals with provider needs.
- Manage the engineering delivery process including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog prioritization to ensure consistent, iterative progress.
- Convert unclear or broad challenges into well-defined tasks with clear success metrics, tradeoffs, and execution paths.
- Create and refine lightweight processes and team rituals that enhance focus and reliability without adding bureaucratic overhead.
- Mentor engineers in technical execution, communication, and ownership, supporting career growth across individual contributor and management paths.
