Zapier is looking for an Engineering Manager, Enterprise Integrations to lead a team building and maintaining the critical integrations for our Enterprise customers. You will collaborate with customer-facing teams to invest in the most relevant integrations, securing valuable deals and ensuring customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with product and design peers to deliver customer and company value.
- Develop effective ways to communicate, monitor, and lead your team of 5 Backend Engineers through one-on-ones and team meetings.
- Keep the leadership team and your peer teams in Enterprise informed on your team’s progress and challenges.
- Build rapport with each team member and support them through coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
- Participate in code reviews and spread technical knowledge throughout Zapier.
- Maintain a focus on customers by using feedback to guide your team through tradeoffs on quality and scope.
- Work directly with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure our integrations are serving their needs.
- Recruit, onboard, and train new engineers at Zapier, and support the continuous improvement of hiring practices.
- Organize your team to serve our customers, resolving technical issues with our integrations and answering questions from internal teams.
What We're Looking For
- At least two years of experience managing a cross-functional team of engineers comprising frontend, full stack, and backend.
- Experience hiring, training, and developing engineers from all backgrounds.
- Strong communication skills to align on a shared vision and strategy with Product and Design partners.
- Ability to build relationships and foster cooperation for successful project outcomes.
- Deep customer empathy and a customer-centric approach to improve the customer experience.
- Experience shipping production code and understanding of great code and software development practices.
- Excellent communication skills to work with engineers and stakeholders from various disciplines.
- Willingness to use AI tooling for work or personal use, or to dive in and learn fast.
Team & Environment
You will lead the Enterprise Integrations team, a group of 5 Backend Engineers. The team structure is focused on collaboration with customer-facing teams to understand and prioritize integration work that drives business value.
