InPost Group is hiring an Engineering Manager - Cloud CoE (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage the cloud platform's strategic direction, architectural standards, and governance policies within the GCP ecosystem, covering multi-project design, IAM frameworks, organizational policies, landing zones, shared VPCs, and core infrastructure services.
  • Author technical design documentation and serve as a representative for engineering teams in interdepartmental and executive-level discussions.
  • Develop and maintain a forward-looking 12-month roadmap for the Cloud Center of Excellence, updated regularly to reflect evolving priorities.
  • Evaluate and prioritize technical initiatives based on business value, engineering needs, and outstanding technical debt.
  • Present the Cloud CoE roadmap to senior leadership for strategic alignment and approval.
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain skilled Cloud Engineers to build a resilient and capable team.
  • Establish performance expectations, conduct routine one-on-one meetings, lead performance evaluations, create personalized development plans, and identify future technical leaders.
  • Serve as the main technical liaison for cloud infrastructure matters across Platform Delivery, AI Center of Excellence, Security, FinOps, and integration with acquired entities such as Mondial Relay and Yodel.
  • Lead structured architecture review sessions and facilitate key technical decision-making forums.
  • Escalate unresolved issues or impediments to the Domain Leader for resolution.
  • Provide hands-on guidance and mentorship to Associate Platform Engineers, sharing technical knowledge and promoting a culture of learning and collaboration.
  • Collaborate closely with development, operations, security, and other teams to understand requirements and ensure platform capabilities meet business needs.
  • Explain complex technical concepts clearly to varied audiences and drive alignment on platform vision and direction.
  • Monitor system performance continuously, detect performance constraints, and implement improvements to support growing workloads and scalable operations.
