About the Role
You will manage a team of software engineers focused on blockchain technologies, driving technical execution, mentoring engineers, and collaborating across teams to deliver scalable and secure systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of software engineers working on blockchain protocols and infrastructure
- Guide technical direction and ensure high standards in system design and code quality
- Mentor engineers in career development and technical growth
- Collaborate with product and security teams to align engineering efforts with business goals
- Oversee sprint planning, team velocity, and delivery timelines
- Foster a culture of operational excellence and incident ownership
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including compliance and risk
- Ensure systems meet strict security and regulatory requirements
- Drive post-mortems and continuous improvement after incidents
- Recruit, interview, and onboard engineering talent
- Support on-call rotations and critical system monitoring
- Translate complex blockchain concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Promote engineering best practices across teams
- Balance technical debt with feature development
- Evaluate new blockchain protocols and their integration potential
- Ensure team adherence to software development lifecycle standards
- Manage performance reviews and goal setting for team members
- Champion diversity and inclusion within the engineering team
- Stay current with advancements in distributed ledger technologies
- Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions within the engineering organization
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in computer science or related field
- Experience at a crypto-native company or financial institution
