About the Role
Manage a team of engineers responsible for designing and maintaining a cloud-based platform optimized for AI and machine learning applications, ensuring high availability and efficient resource utilization.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of software engineers focused on platform development
- Collaborate with product and research teams to define technical roadmaps
- Oversee system architecture decisions for scalability and reliability
- Drive engineering best practices including code quality and testing
- Mentor engineers in technical and professional growth
- Ensure platform meets security and compliance standards
- Manage sprint planning and delivery timelines
- Troubleshoot complex system-level issues
- Evaluate new technologies for integration into the platform
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies for feature delivery
- Monitor system performance and optimize resource usage
- Support incident response and post-mortem analysis
- Improve developer tooling and internal workflows
- Foster a culture of innovation and accountability
- Contribute to hiring and onboarding of new engineers
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in computer science or related field
- Experience building AI or ML infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with GPU-accelerated computing
- Prior work with large-scale data processing systems
- Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects
- Experience with serverless architectures
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments
- Background in high-performance computing
- Familiarity with MLOps tooling and workflows
Compensation
$180,000 - $230,000 base salary, equity included
Work Arrangement
Hybrid with office presence in San Francisco
