BitGo is hiring an Engineering Manager (M3) to lead our APAC Staking team. In this role, you will be responsible for growing BitGo's Staking Assets Under Custody (AUC) by building best-in-class staking support for new blockchains for institutions. The position requires close alignment with US counterparts and hands-on technical involvement.
What You'll Do
- Be accountable for growing BitGo’s Staking AUC by building the best staking support for new blockchains for institutions.
- Collaborate with Product, Trust, Compliance, and other key stakeholders to set the product and technical vision and execute against it.
- Provide regular coaching to your team and the broader engineering department.
- Take direct responsibility for quality and delivery of the team’s work.
- Manage end-to-end availability and performance of critical services.
- Encourage best practices in engineering design and usability, leading by example.
- Facilitate thorough documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with management and product teams to plan, estimate, and prioritize roadmap objectives.
- Work closely with company leadership to identify upcoming opportunities and risks.
- Actively foster an engineering-wide culture embodying values of open communication, collaboration, accountability, craftsmanship, and a client-first approach.
- Coordinate with stakeholders in the US and other global locations, potentially involving calls in PST/EST timezones.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- 2+ years in a managerial role.
- Experience in crypto, professional or personal, or an interest in the same.
- Experience successfully onboarding onto a new organization as a manager.
- Track record of sourcing and hiring top engineering talent, including managerial talent.
- Proven success leading engineering-wide initiatives.
- Demonstrated history of collaborating with products to come up with a product roadmap.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly working with business stakeholders.
- Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
