Responsibilities
- Lead global engineering delivery by breaking down the technical roadmap and executing across a fully distributed team, owning sprint commitments, release cycles, and daily momentum across multiple time zones.
- Balance planned and reactive work by establishing clear frameworks to handle competing priorities, ensuring high feature velocity while allocating capacity for ad-hoc bug triage, prioritization, and resolution without disrupting sprints.
- Own incident management and on-call processes by defining and running real-time incident response, designing sustainable distributed on-call rotations, and fostering a post-mortem culture to reduce Mean Time to Restore Service (MTTR).
- Architect asynchronous workflows by designing and championing operational processes that minimize real-time meetings, emphasizing high-quality documentation, clear handoffs, and independent execution.
- Own delivery metrics (DORA) by implementing, tracking, and optimizing Deployment Frequency, Lead Time for Changes, Change Failure Rate, and Time to Restore Service to maintain a healthy, high-throughput pipeline.
- Champion AI-augmented engineering by standardizing and optimizing the team's use of modern AI development tools like Cursor, Copilot, and Claude Code, balancing rapid AI-assisted execution with rigorous code review, security guardrails, and codebase cleanliness.
- Manage and mentor a close-knit team of approximately 10 engineers globally, conducting high-impact flexible one-on-ones, setting clear performance expectations, and maintaining a motivated, inclusive, and unified culture across geographic distances.
