Inspiren is hiring an Engineering Manager

About the Role

Inspiren is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Intelligence & Integrations team. Your mission is to transform raw behavioral data into actionable insights that drive resident safety and operational efficiency. You will own the team's health, delivery, and roadmap, ensuring our systems scale reliably to meet nationwide needs.

What You'll Do

  • Manage, mentor, and hire a high-performing team of engineers, responsible for their professional growth and performance.
  • Own the team's roadmap in partnership with the Product Manager, delivering high-value functionality.
  • Instill best practices for monitoring, alerting, and incident response for serverless data pipelines and third-party integrations.
  • Translate technical complexity for non-technical stakeholders and help engineers understand the product 'why'.
  • Streamline how the team builds and maintains integrations with external systems to reduce onboarding friction.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of Engineering Management experience managing full-stack or backend-focused teams in a product-led environment.
  • 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with a strong background in data-intensive applications or distributed systems.
  • Deep understanding of integrations and experience building and managing complex sets of integrations.
  • User-centric leadership with a focus on end-user experience.
  • Empathy and alignment with a 'humanity first' approach; kind, thoughtful, and views management as a service.
  • Active use of AI coding tools (like Cursor or Claude Code) as a core part of work, automating tasks and complex integrations.
  • Familiarity with AWS ecosystems (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS).
  • Ability to review and guide architecture in TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL (RDS) and NoSQL patterns (DynamoDB).
  • Sufficient knowledge of React to support a team building complex analytics dashboards.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with HL7, FHIR, or integrating with major EHR platforms.
  • Experience managing data pipelines that ingest high-frequency telemetry from hardware/IoT devices.

Technical Stack

  • AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, SQS/SNS
  • TypeScript, Node.js
  • PostgreSQL (RDS), DynamoDB
  • React, Databricks

Team & Environment

You will lead the Intelligence & Integrations team.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Flexible PTO.
  • Equity.
