The Engineering Manager will lead and develop a distributed technical team, ensuring high-quality software delivery aligned with Experian’s global engineering standards and business strategy. This role involves driving team performance, fostering cross-region collaboration, supporting technical direction, and promoting operational excellence within a growing Brazil GDC initiative.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a distributed technical team, ensuring alignment with global engineering standards and high-quality delivery.
- Integrate newly hired engineers into existing US-centric teams and workflows, including daily routines, communication practices, and time-zone coordination.
- Establish and enhance delivery predictability, engineering quality, operational excellence, and cross-region collaboration from day one.
- Navigate the early phase of the Brazil GDC initiative by contributing to process definition, job leveling, onboarding, hiring, and team expansion.
- Build local culture by promoting ownership, transparency, collaboration, and technical maturity.
- Support onboarding of new engineers while also completing your own integration into EMS.
- Provide technical direction across multiple disciplines (Software Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Security) and participate in architectural discussions.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Architecture, Security, and Service Delivery, as well as Brazil HR/TA.
- Ensure clarity, accountability, and continuous team evolution through metrics, best practices, and modern engineering standards.
