What You'll Do
As Engineering Lead, you will guide a team of three developers, shaping both technical execution and team development. You'll take full responsibility for the platform’s architecture, infrastructure, and ongoing delivery of features. Your role includes planning work, assigning tasks, and ensuring the team maintains a consistent pace of high-quality output.
You will make key decisions around technology choices and system design, balancing innovation with stability. A core part of your work will involve mentoring engineers, supporting their professional growth, and helping maintain a productive, collaborative environment. Your leadership will directly impact the reliability and performance of a SaaS product used by customers worldwide.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years in an engineering leadership role, with direct accountability for team management, task planning, and shipping software
- Proven experience operating and scaling modern SaaS applications in production
- Deep familiarity with DevOps practices, Linux systems, AWS services, and networking fundamentals
- Strong proficiency in Ruby and JavaScript/TypeScript, with hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails and React
- Extensive knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL, particularly in high-traffic, production environments
- Proficiency with Git for version control
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear collaboration
Technical Stack
The platform is built on Ruby on Rails and React, with TypeScript enhancing front-end development. Background jobs are managed through Sidekiq, and the application runs on Heroku and AWS. Data is stored in PostgreSQL, ensuring robust and scalable access.

Work Mode
This is a fully remote role open to candidates in Europe, Asia, and the United States. You must be able to overlap with Central European Standard Time for 2–3 hours each workday to support team collaboration.
