This role supports the design and implementation of watershed investment initiatives under a global facility focused on nature-based water solutions. The Engagement Consultant will work across disciplines to assess regional water challenges, analyze policy frameworks, and evaluate socio-economic conditions shaping water security in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess watershed dynamics, including environmental, institutional, and regulatory factors, to inform project design and strategy.
- Lead coordination across internal teams, manage project timelines, and contribute strategic direction to ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
- Produce in-depth analyses integrating financial, ecological, and social dimensions of watershed programs.
- Develop financial and cost models, funding strategies, and cost-benefit assessments to support investment decisions.
- Evaluate the economic value of ecosystem services linked to nature-based interventions.
- Engage stakeholders across government, local communities, and institutions to support inclusive project development.
- Support governance design and provide recommendations for institutional frameworks.
- Prepare clear, well-structured reports, presentations, and strategic documents for diverse audiences.
- Present findings in meetings, conferences, and client engagements.
- Collaborate on refining internal tools, templates, and knowledge systems to improve program delivery.
- Contribute to proposal development and business growth initiatives.
- Travel may be required up to 15% of the time, including domestic and international destinations.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Public Policy, Environmental Science, or a related field is required, along with at least three years of relevant professional experience. Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, experience with financial modeling or funding strategies, and the ability to thrive in unstructured, multidisciplinary settings. Fluency in both English and Spanish—spoken and written—is essential. The ideal candidate learns quickly, communicates complex ideas clearly, and transforms technical data into actionable insights through reports, memos, and presentations.

Work Environment
This position is open to candidates based in Argentina, Belize, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, The Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary range is USD $30,000 to $60,000, adjusted for local currency and based on location, qualifications, and experience.
