McLaren Health Care was looking for an Endoscopy Technician

McLaren Health Care is looking for an Endoscopy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be essential in supporting medical and nursing staff during endoscopic procedures. Your primary focus will be on ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency through meticulous preparation and maintenance of our endoscopy suites.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure endoscopy rooms are clean, sterile, and stocked prior to procedures.
  • Sterilize surgical instruments and maintain inventories of endoscopic equipment and supplies.
  • Perform safety checks to verify proper equipment functioning and maintain or repair endoscopic equipment.
  • Prepare suites or rooms according to specific endoscopic procedure requirements.
  • Clean, disinfect, or calibrate scopes and other endoscopic instruments following manufacturer and facility standards.
  • Position or transport patients as instructed by medical personnel.
  • Set up, scrub in, and support team members during procedures, including collecting patient specimens.
  • Perform clerical duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining logs, and entering patient information.
  • Deliver compassionate support and assistance to patients and their families.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment by adhering to infection-control and hazardous waste protocols.
  • Perform other related duties as required and directed.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Nice to Have

  • Endoscopy Technician Certification.
  • One year of directly related experience.
