Lead the electrical design and implementation of mission-critical data center infrastructure in a remote, client-facing role. This position drives the development of medium and low-voltage power distribution systems, backup power solutions, and emergency electrical networks for hyper-scale facilities across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and validate electrical systems for high-density data centers, ensuring optimal performance, redundancy, and uptime
- Produce detailed schematics, material lists, and installation documentation in alignment with project requirements
- Ensure all designs meet applicable standards, including NEC and IEC regulations, and support certification processes
- Lead technical coordination with cross-functional teams to define system specifications, budgets, and engineering timelines
- Diagnose and resolve electrical system challenges related to load distribution, capacity limits, and energy efficiency
- Oversee ongoing system maintenance, testing protocols, and corrective actions to sustain operational reliability
- Establish safety policies and lead training initiatives for field and engineering personnel
- Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance system resilience and efficiency, recommending strategic upgrades
- Act as Engineer of Record with authority to approve designs and deliverables
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance and performance feedback
- Support business development by leading technical discussions and advising on project feasibility and scope
Qualifications
Candidates must have a solid foundation in electrical engineering with demonstrated experience in large-scale data center environments. You should have a proven record in developing power distribution systems, interpreting electrical codes, and managing system lifecycle performance. Prior experience in client-facing technical roles, budget forecasting, and leading engineering deliverables is essential. You must be eligible to serve as a licensed Engineer of Record and comfortable traveling occasionally for project needs.
Work Environment
This role operates primarily remotely within the U.S., offering schedule flexibility. Occasional travel is required for client engagements, project reviews, or on-site collaboration, scheduled in advance.
