Responsibilities
- Support all project phases (pre-design, design, construction, closeout)
- Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings
- Ensure compliance with VA standards and applicable codes
- Evaluate power distribution, emergency power, and critical systems
- Review construction activities for compliance
- Identify deficiencies and non-conforming work
- Support RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Conduct site inspections
- Track deficiencies and ensure resolution
- Support testing and commissioning
- Support project scheduling efforts
- Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders
- Assist in resolving technical issues impacting delivery
- Maintain project documentation
- Support reports and technical evaluations
- Provide input to leadership and contracting teams
- Evaluate construction impacts on medical operations
- Identify risks related to power systems and infrastructure
- Support phasing strategies to maintain patient care
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship (required)
- Ability to obtain VA PIV badge / pass background investigation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 5–10 years of relevant experience
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience supporting commercial, healthcare, or federal projects

- Experience in remote/distributed teams
