About the Role
The engineer will support the development and execution of electrical designs for a variety of building projects, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
Responsibilities
- Produce detailed electrical system designs for commercial and industrial facilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on integrated project delivery
- Develop single-line diagrams, load schedules, and equipment specifications
- Conduct site assessments and support field teams during construction
- Ensure designs meet Malaysian electrical codes and international best practices
- Prepare construction documentation and technical submittals
- Perform calculations for load analysis, voltage drop, and short-circuit studies
- Coordinate with architects and other engineers to align system integration
- Support project management with scheduling and deliverable tracking
- Review contractor shop drawings for compliance and accuracy
- Assist in the selection of sustainable and energy-efficient technologies
- Participate in design coordination meetings and client reviews
- Maintain design records and documentation in shared systems
- Provide technical guidance during equipment installation and commissioning
- Adapt designs based on site conditions and client feedback
- Use CAD and BIM tools for design development and modeling
- Ensure electrical safety principles are integrated into all design phases
- Support quality assurance and design validation processes
- Stay current with advancements in electrical engineering practices
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design templates and workflows
