PCS Professional Clinical Software GmbH / Lab Technologies is hiring a freelance EDI Consultant to oversee the migration of existing EDI systems to an external service provider for an automotive client undergoing organizational transformation. This role focuses on process coordination, stakeholder communication, and testing, not on technical development.
What You'll Do
- Act as the main coordinator between business stakeholders, external EDI service providers, and trading partners.
- Support the outsourcing and migration of existing EDI systems and interfaces connected to SAP.
- Ensure effective communication, alignment, and documentation between all parties.
- Monitor, test, and validate EDI message exchanges and data quality.
- Coordinate and document issue resolution, test cases, and go-live activities.
- Define and implement processes and governance structures for the new EDI setup.
- Oversee daily EDI operations to ensure stability and smooth data exchange.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 6 years of experience in EDI coordination, business integration, or interface management.
- Solid understanding of EDI processes and standards (e.g., EDIFACT, ANSI X12, IDoc).
- Experience in SAP-related EDI integration, particularly with MM, SD, and PP modules.
- Experience in collaborating with external EDI providers and managing multiple partners.
- Hands-on experience with testing and validation of EDI connections and data flows.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills in an international environment.
- Structured, proactive, and detail-oriented working style.
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
- Ability to work independently.
- Candidates must be based in Europe.
