About the Role
The position supports financial compliance and billing accuracy by managing e-billing systems, monitoring budget parameters, and coordinating with legal teams to uphold client billing guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Process and validate electronic invoices according to client-specific requirements
- Monitor matter budgets and track financial performance against established limits
- Identify billing discrepancies and coordinate corrections with legal staff
- Ensure compliance with outside counsel guidelines set by clients
- Generate financial reports related to billing and budget utilization
- Collaborate with attorneys and practice group leaders on budget planning
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of e-billing platforms and protocols
- Review time entries for accuracy and guideline adherence
- Support audit preparation for client billing reviews
- Assist in developing standardized billing templates
- Communicate billing policies to internal stakeholders
- Track and report on write-offs and adjustments
- Respond to client inquiries regarding invoice details
- Implement updates to billing rules based on client feedback
- Participate in training sessions for new billing software features
- Coordinate with finance and accounting teams on billing cycles
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and client data
- Monitor industry trends in legal billing compliance
- Assist in onboarding new clients with e-billing setup
- Document procedures for billing and budget workflows
