Innovatrics is hiring a DPO / Compliance officer

Innovatrics is seeking a DPO / Compliance Officer to own and run the company's data protection and compliance program across Internal operations, Sales, and Product to ensure the company stays lawful, ethical, and secure. The role involves managing GDPR workflows, shaping EU AI Act readiness, and influencing product-level 'Privacy by Design'. The work impacts real-world biometric systems used in elections, border control, digital ID, and secure onboarding in 80+ countries.

What You'll Do

• Explore the current compliance framework, Records of Processing Activities (ROPA), and biometric ethics committee processes.
• Take full ownership of the data protection program.
• Manage GDPR workflows.
• Manage vendor DPAs.
• Provide critical compliance reporting directly to the CEO/COO.
• Shape the EU AI Act readiness strategy.
• Influence product-level 'Privacy by Design'.
• Ensure global sales operations remain audit-ready in 80+ countries.
• Own and run the company's data protection and compliance program across Internal operations, Sales, and Product.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate legal requirements into practical SDLC gates.
• Implement risk mitigation measures (contractual, operational, and technical).
• Draft policies and procedures.
• Present to the Board/Leadership.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in data protection, compliance, or legal roles.
• Hands-on ownership of GDPR programs, including ROPA, DPIAs, DSAR processes, and accountability documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate legal requirements into practical SDLC gates.
• Strong skills in risk assessment and implementing mitigation measures (contractual, operational, and technical).
• Excellent drafting skills for policies and procedures.
• Confident presenting to the Board/Leadership.
• Degree in Law, Compliance, Information Security, or Business.

Nice to Have

• Experience ideally within tech/SaaS or regulated environments.
• Certifications like CIPP/E, CIPM, or CAMS are a strong advantage.
