Pomelo Care is looking for a Doula to educate and guide expecting and new families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. In this vital role, you will improve birth outcomes by ensuring families feel supported and empowered. You’ll join a mission-driven organization committed to building the best network to improve outcomes for all mothers and babies.
What You'll Do
- Educate and guide expecting and new families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
- Support families both virtually and in-person.
- Work evenings and weekends to accommodate family needs.
What We're Looking For
- Completed certification/training as a birth and/or full spectrum doula from an organization recognized by the Virginia Certification Board.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to connect with families from diverse backgrounds both virtually and in-person.
- Comfortable using telehealth platforms, video conferencing tools, and electronic documentation systems.
- Able to work virtually and in-person, as well as evenings and weekends.
- Complete a background screening.

Team & Environment
This is a contract role within the Pomelo network, which consists of nearly 600 doulas.
