BCD Travel is hiring a DotNet Developer to join the team building and maintaining the applications that power our travel professionals. In this role, you'll develop end-user and server-based solutions to increase agent productivity, drive automation, reduce errors, and support evolving industry requirements.
What You'll Do
- Create and enhance applications based on functional and technical requirements.
- Build clear, easy-to-use, and user-friendly applications.
- Ensure final product compliance with specifications through regular reviews with end-user groups.
- Test functionality and performance of your own and colleagues' code, effecting changes where needed.
- Work with support departments to identify the root cause of issues.
- Collaborate with other technology teams and suppliers to align on best practices and technology solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor Degree in a Computer Science related area or equivalent experience.
- Prior Visual Studio programming experience.
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft development tools.
- Knowledge of C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, VB.NET 2010 & 2015, WinForms, WPF, Windows Services, Web-Services, SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, and Web Technologies (XML, JSON).
- Knowledge of Jira for Project Management and Git for code management.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Angular and front-end technologies.
- Travel technology knowledge, such as a Global Distribution System (GDS).
