TransUnion is hiring a Documentation, HR Lead

About the Role

At TransUnion, we are looking for a Documentation, HR Lead to take ownership of our HR documentation and playbook framework. You will lead the creation, maintenance, and governance of standards across the organization, ensuring our policies, procedures, and records are accurate, compliant, and accessible.

What You'll Do

  • Train HR staff in documentation standards and best practices.
  • Monitor and report on documentation metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Lead HR Business Partners and managers to document core HR programs and create playbooks.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the organization to proactively identify issues and solutions through accurate and available information.
  • Improve manager and associate knowledge, self-service, and effectiveness by making HR policy information accurate and easy to find.
  • Collaborate with various COEs to support initiatives through effective documentation and self-service.
  • Lead and manage a team of HR Documentation Specialists, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized HR documentation framework, including policies, SOPs, templates, and employee communications.
  • Ensure all HR documents are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to standardize documentation practices across regions and departments.
  • Oversee version control, document lifecycle management, and audit readiness.
  • Implement and maintain relevant documentation tools or platforms.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in HR operations or documentation.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Experience with document management systems, process mapping, and collaboration tools.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and consistency.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, compliance, and documentation standards.
  • Exceptional communication, consulting, collaboration and coaching skills.
  • A degree in business, Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
