Kiewit Corporation is looking for a Document Controls Specialist to support our Infrastructure Engineers with the management of engineering documents for permanent design projects. You will ensure compliance with government regulations and company procedures.
What You'll Do
- Support the management of engineering documents in accordance with government regulations and company procedures.
- Process internal and external distribution of engineering documentation on incoming and outgoing workflows.
- Prepare transmittals for document distribution.
- Review and conduct quality checks of documents as needed.
- Configure, update, and maintain engineering document management systems and permissions.
- Update and maintain various distribution matrixes.
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years of experience with advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools.
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Detail oriented with effective organization and coordination skills.
- Ability to identify and use the correct tools and systems to index, file, and control engineering documents.
- Ability to remain flexible with changing requirements, multi-task, and work proactively to resolve issues.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Regular, reliable attendance and the ability to work productively to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate and interact professionally with supervisors, employees, and others.
- Perform work safely, understand and follow instructions, and work during normal operating hours, with overtime and weekends as required.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information management, information technology, data management, or computer information systems.
- Experience with software like Bluebeam, Adobe Pro, or Smartsheet.
- Experience with EDMS such as InEight Document, SharePoint, ProjectWise, Aconex, or Documentum.
- Knowledge of construction and engineering terms.
- Knowledge of design build, progressive design build, and CMGC\CMAR contract models.
- Knowledge of Bluebeam Studio for comment resolution.
