CVS Health is hiring a District Support Pharmacist to play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence within our pharmacies. You will travel within your assigned district to cover pharmacist scheduling gaps, acting as a role model and supporting pharmacy teams and operations.

What You'll Do

Help manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
Travel the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled; oversee the pharmacy and serve as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts without overlap.
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing the pharmacy team to follow pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty.
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care and coaching the pharmacy team to do the same.
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; engage and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize.
Support effective management of pharmacy inventory in all pharmacies worked, with a special focus on protecting cold chain products.
Remain flexible for both scheduling and business needs, while contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic.
Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills for the job as the industry evolves; actively seek opportunities to expand knowledge.
Support access to care and help improve patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services where permissible.
Understand and comply with all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles; comply with CVS Health policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Nice to Have

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.

Team & Environment

Works within the district under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager (PM) and Rx District Leader (DL).
