General Motors is hiring a District Sales Manager: Kansas City - Buick/GMC

About the Role

We are hiring a District Sales Manager to manage and engage Buick/GMC dealerships within the Kansas City territory. In this role, you will be the critical link between GM and its dealers, driving sales performance through direct partnership and on-site presence.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the primary liaison between GM, its dealerships, and additional GM partners.
  • Grow and foster strong, collaborative partnerships with dealerships.
  • Provide mentorship and consulting to ensure monthly and yearly sales objectives are met.
  • Track dealership Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and other feedback to identify opportunities or address deficiencies.
  • Assist in product launches to ensure streamlined marketing and advertising between dealers, independent aftermarket (IAM), and GM.
  • Monitor dealership personnel training and ensure compliance with GM requirements and objectives.
  • Assist with dealership inventory management, including vehicle and parts ordering and inventory stabilization.
  • Analyze dealer sales, local market data, and competition to identify revenue opportunities.
  • Increase sales of GM vehicles and accessory parts.
  • Assist in customer problem resolution.
  • Travel to dealers within your designated region.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of experience in the automotive industry in lieu of a degree.
  • 4+ years in sales and customer service roles.
  • Ability to travel 100% of the time, be mobile now and in the future, and relocate anywhere within the United States.
  • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis.
  • Strong ability to establish relationships through partnership.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity effectively.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • A coachable mindset and openness to feedback.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Flexibility for travel within your district and relocation when needed.
  • Composure and conflict management skills.
  • A data-oriented approach to analysis and decision-making.

Work Mode

This is a remote position based in the United States, with extensive travel required to dealerships within the assigned Kansas City district.
