BeOne is looking for a Director, Senior IP Counsel to join its growing in-house intellectual property team. This experienced counsel will support R&D, business development, and commercialization for molecularly targeted and immuno-oncology cancer therapeutics. The role reports to the head of small molecule IP and is remote.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain a strong IP portfolio to support R&D, manufacturing, and commercialization of biologics products.
- Identify patentable inventions, draft patent applications, and prosecute them.
- Conduct patent and prior art searches, competitive landscape analysis, and freedom-to-operate assessments.
- Support corporate and business development, including due diligence, contract drafting and negotiation, and alliance management.
- Monitor patent trends and case law developments in major markets to adjust IP strategies.
- Provide litigation support, including validity and non-infringement analysis.
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Admitted to the USPTO and at least one state bar.
- At least five years of relevant biopharmaceutical IP practice experience.
- Deep understanding of global biopharmaceutical patent law, regulatory data protection, and best practices.
- Proven skill in drafting patent applications, responding to office actions, and portfolio development.
- Ability to collaborate and work independently, balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Capacity to translate complex laws and regulations into practical, business-oriented counsel.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and judgment.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and responsive.
- Flexibility to accept new responsibilities as needed.
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree in chemistry or a related field; a Ph.D. is preferred.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a strong understanding of drug discovery, development, manufacturing, and commercialization for biologics and small molecules.

- Compensation: $196,200.00 - $256,200.00 annually + eligibility for discretionary equity awards.
