General Motors is hiring a District Manager - Sales - Windsor/South Western Ontario

About the Role

General Motors is looking for a District Manager - Sales to lead, motivate, and influence dealer partners within the Windsor district (District 1). You will deploy initiatives to achieve retail sales and market share goals, maximize revenue, and build strong dealer partnerships by driving performance and improving customer experience.

What You'll Do

  • Achieve retail sales and share objectives through implementation of district and dealer action plans.
  • Identify sales opportunities through analysis of sales, inventory, market share, demographic, and competitive data.
  • Develop and execute GM and Supplier Employee Market Initiatives.
  • Analyze Dealership Operating Reports to identify opportunities for efficiency and sales growth.
  • Develop strategies to maximize vehicle ordering coverage to drive retail sales growth.
  • Analyze and align dealer ordering patterns to regional strategies and market opportunities.
  • Build a culture of customer focus among dealers and ensure supporting processes are in place.
  • Drive Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) performance and improve negative impact dealership performance.
  • Manage customer complaint issues appropriately, supporting resolution with a 'win-win' outcome.
  • Champion improvement in the retail digital customer experience and implementation of retail innovation.
  • Drive product training participation to develop knowledgeable and passionate sales teams.
  • Drive accessories revenue performance with strong factory ordering (LPO).
  • Champion strong Sales to Service to Sales processes to maximize customer retention and sales opportunities.
  • Drive OnStar activations with Welcome Call onboarding and Mobile App usage.
  • Drive GM Financial Leasing Penetration.

What We're Looking For

  • 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Proven track record of sales growth and relationship building.
  • Outstanding analytical abilities combined with strong decision-making skills.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional environments.
  • Understanding of OEM distribution processes, field sales tools, and reports.
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours on occasion if required (e.g., month-end).
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • This role will be located in Windsor, Ontario.

Nice to Have

  • Prior District Manager Sales experience, preferably 2 years.
  • Successfully obtained an Undergraduate Degree or College Diploma, preferably in Business and/or an MBA.

Team & Environment

Works in conjunction with the Regional Manager and the Regional Marketing Managers.

This is a remote position based in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
