What You'll Do
Oversee the complete dispatch cycle, from intake to delivery, ensuring medications move efficiently from pharmacy to care facilities. Monitor incoming prescription orders and prioritize them based on urgency and logistical needs.
Design and adjust delivery routes to maximize efficiency and on-time performance, factoring in location, traffic, and facility requirements. Communicate directly with drivers to provide real-time updates, route instructions, and support during transit.
Verify patient and facility information before dispatch to maintain accuracy and compliance. Track deliveries throughout their journey and intervene quickly if delays or deviations occur.
Address operational challenges such as incorrect addresses, missing items, or scheduling conflicts, resolving them with speed and precision. Work closely with pharmacy, logistics, and customer support teams to align on delivery goals and improve coordination.
Ensure all documentation meets HIPAA standards and support a culture of precision, accountability, and continuous improvement in every dispatch action.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and coordinate effectively in remote, cross-functional environments
- High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent tasks
- Proven problem-solving aptitude and the ability to make sound decisions under time pressure
- Experience with dispatch systems, route optimization software, or fleet management platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in a related field or equivalent experience in logistics, operations, or healthcare support roles
- Prior work in pharmacy operations, medical delivery services, or healthcare-facing coordination roles
