Akumin is seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition to direct the day-to-day operations of the TA department and ensure the company's employer brand strategy is strengthened. You will anticipate talent needs in partnership with business leaders and formulate strategies to create a strong value proposition for top-level talent.
What You'll Do
- Formulate strategic talent acquisition plans.
- Achieve employee hiring goals including key metrics for vacancy rate, hiring rate, and time-to-fill.
- Ensure talent acquisition plans are efficient and cost effective.
- Oversee sourcing for complex talent needs including clinical, support, service, professional, and leadership roles.
- Lead the Talent Acquisition team with full responsibility for performance, development, and internal capability building.
- Collaborate with peers and team to develop and implement sourcing strategies for critical positions.
- Produce regular status updates and reports for business partners.
- Set strategic direction for the recruiting organization to include process, technology, talent, and AI initiatives.
- Continually evaluate recruiting to ensure appropriate processes and a good candidate experience.
What We're Looking For
- BA/BS degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of high volume recruiting efforts.
- Proven track record of success and experience in a Healthcare organization.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in skills necessary to build dynamic presentations and present to hospital C-suite and other executives.
Nice to Have
- Ability to effectively lead, coach, and develop staff, including knowledge of performance management.
- Thorough knowledge of corporate/departmental practices and procedures, business and recruiting process workflows.
- Ability to effectively manage and achieve business results and meet short and long range recruiting goals.
- Excellent project management, organizational, planning, and problem solving skills.
- Prior experience building up a Talent Acquisition function—establishing processes, metrics, and hiring a team.
- Experience with establishing, maintaining, and leveraging C-level relationships at partner companies.
- A strong understanding of health care.
