PHH Peak Health Holdings is hiring a Director, Privacy & Data (AMER) to lead the Global Privacy Legal Team and shape privacy in digital entertainment. In this transformational role, you will provide strategic legal and compliance advice across the Americas and on global privacy matters while managing a team and optimizing privacy processes for PlayStation.
What You'll Do
- Lead a team of privacy legal experts advising the business across the Americas region on data privacy and protection laws, including COPPA, CCPA, and other state and federal privacy and consumer protection laws.
- Partner with the SIE Global Privacy Team to maintain and scale the global privacy program.
- Partner closely with SIE cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering, Information Security, IT, and Marketing to solve privacy and data issues.
- Lead SIE’s response to new and evolving data protection and privacy laws and breach notification laws and frameworks in the United States, providing practical and strategic advice.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of data privacy policies, standards, and processes in support of SIE business operations in the Americas region.
- Provide creative advice to balance protecting consumer privacy with enabling businesses to collect and use data for strategic purposes.
What We're Looking For
- At least 10 years of proven experience managing US domestic and global privacy and related data protection compliance issues.
- A mix of private practice and in-house experience.
- Experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Ability to become qualified for and quickly acquire a Registered In-House Counsel status in California and maintain that status during employment.
- Experience creating and implementing privacy and related international and domestic data protection policies and compliance efforts.
- Familiarity with social privacy issues, data/information lifecycle, data governance, and emerging digital technologies, including AI.
- Ability to communicate sophisticated legal, technical, and business concepts to non-legal professionals and interact with clients at all levels, including senior management.
Nice to Have
- California Bar membership.
- Privacy certifications such as CIPP/US or CIPP/E.
