MultiCare is hiring a Director of Payroll Operations to lead payroll processing for all legal entities of our health system. In this role, you will ensure payroll runs accurately, on time, and in full compliance with all regulatory requirements.
What You'll Do
- Oversee payroll processing for all legal entities of MultiCare Health System.
- Ensure payroll is run accurately, timely and in compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, IT and Accounting teams to ensure all financial controls and reporting are adequate and correct.
- Provide leadership to enhance performance, quality and productivity, by promoting proper procedure, building an infrastructure and setting performance / productivity targets.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business or other related field.
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience leading large complex payroll departments.
- Minimum five (5) years of management or supervisory experience.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in an integrated multi-state healthcare system preferred.
- Prior experience in a union environment preferred.
- Prior experience with executive and physician compensation programs preferred.
Team & Environment
Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.

- Compensation range: $131,830.00 - $189,696.00 USD.
