Scotiabank is looking for a Director, Options Trader to join our Global Equity Derivatives & Investor Solutions teams. You will contribute to the team’s success by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. All activities must comply with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. This role is identified as a Material Risk Taker (MRT) and falls under the PRA/FCA Certification Regime.
What You'll Do
- Execute on individual goals and initiatives that support the team's broader business strategies.
- Ensure all trading and business activities adhere strictly to governing regulations and internal policies.
- Contribute directly to the success and performance of the Global Equity Derivatives & Investor Solutions teams.
- Operate with an understanding of the responsibilities associated with being a designated Material Risk Taker.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in options trading, particularly within equity derivatives.
- A track record of executing business strategies and meeting individual performance goals.
- Deep understanding and experience operating within regulated financial environments, including compliance with relevant policies.
- Knowledge of the responsibilities and frameworks associated with roles identified under certification regimes like the PRA/FCA.
- Strong analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset.
