What You'll Do
Oversee the end-to-end transportation network for the Americas, ensuring efficient, cost-effective movement of goods across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. You’ll lead strategic planning and execution across Truckload, Less-Than-Truckload, and Parcel shipping modes, aligning logistics performance with customer service goals and business growth.
Optimize mode selection and routing strategies to reduce freight costs while maintaining high service levels. You’ll ensure compliance with customer freight requirements, minimize chargebacks, and eliminate preventable expenses through disciplined execution and oversight.
Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, setting performance standards, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring data accuracy. You’ll also lead the configuration and use of the Transportation Management System to improve visibility, automation, and audit precision.
Lead carrier procurement activities, including RFPs, contract negotiations, and performance management. You’ll maintain accountability for on-time performance, claims resolution, and accessorial charge control across all modes.
Own the annual transportation budget and multi-year cost strategy, delivering against savings targets and financial commitments. Partner with Finance on accruals, reporting, and corrective actions for cost variances.
Prepare for peak season demands by securing capacity and ensuring operational readiness. Lead root-cause analyses for service failures and cost overruns, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Collaborate with Distribution, Customer Service, Sales, IT, and other internal teams to align transportation planning with inventory, demand, and fulfillment strategies. Champion a unified approach across functions and external partners, influencing outcomes in a matrixed environment.
