About the Role

What You'll Do

Shape and implement the People & Culture vision for the resort, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals while tailoring initiatives to the local workforce. Lead a dedicated HR team, guiding talent strategy, performance systems, and organizational development. Champion employee engagement, learning programs, and inclusive practices that reflect the values of dignity, respect, and service excellence.

Oversee end-to-end human resources functions, including recruitment, compensation, benefits administration, immigration compliance, and union relations. Serve as a trusted advisor in labor matters, applying deep knowledge of Mexican labor law and regulatory processes. Drive retention and culture-building through proactive leadership, operational presence, and thoughtful change management in a post-pandemic hospitality landscape.

Requirements

Hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or a related field, with advanced training in labor relations or labor law. Demonstrate fluency in both English and Spanish, and possess strong technical skills in payroll systems, talent platforms, and administrative tools. Have a solid grasp of Mexico’s labor framework, including the Federal Labor Law, IMSS, INFONAVIT, tax regulations, safety standards, and procedures before STPS and the Federal Center for Labor Conciliation.

Bring experience managing unionized environments, negotiating collective agreements, and resolving labor conflicts. Show proven ability in salary reviews, regulatory compliance, and conflict resolution within the hospitality sector. Exhibit strong leadership, ethical judgment, and interpersonal skills, with a disciplined approach to operations and workplace safety. Prior experience in resort, tourism, or remote settings is essential.
