Navaide is hiring a Director of Navy Programs - East

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end execution of government contracts from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and mission goals.
  • Provide ongoing supervision, mentorship, and performance management for project managers, team leads, and multidisciplinary delivery personnel, including technical specialists, analysts, developers, and subcontracted resources; apply Agile, hybrid, or traditional methodologies such as SAFe, PMBOK, or DoD 5000-aligned frameworks.
  • Ensure adherence to FAR/DFARS standards and task order conditions, including Seaport-NxG; maintain essential documentation such as the Project Management Plan, risk register, and quality assurance protocols; contribute to CPAR inputs and assist with contract amendments as needed.
  • Create and maintain Integrated Master Schedules using MS Project or similar tools; monitor financial burn rates and track CLIN funding levels through Unanet or other financial management systems.
  • Engage routinely with government representatives including CORs, KOs, and federal project managers to communicate progress and resolve challenges; prepare and deliver executive-level briefings for senior stakeholders at Naval commands, including SES and O6 personnel.
  • Proactively identify technical and operational risks; develop and sustain mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle and escalate critical impediments with recommended solutions.
