Lead and shape institutional philanthropy for a purpose-driven health care organization committed to holistic well-being. As the Director of Institutional Giving, you will play a central role in advancing strategic fundraising goals by engaging foundation board members, executive leaders, and regional stakeholders. Your focus will be on cultivating long-term relationships with individual and corporate donors to secure major, planned, and blended gifts that directly support patient care and community health initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage and guide the foundation’s board and leadership teams in advancing charitable investment strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
- Collaborate with institutional leaders to set annual fundraising targets and track progress through data-informed reporting.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward high-capacity donors and prospects through personalized engagement strategies.
- Ensure accurate recording of donor activity using fundraising software, with consistent reconciliation and documentation practices.
- Oversee donor recognition processes, ensuring timely and meaningful acknowledgment across all giving levels.
- Partner with finance and regional teams to maintain fiscal accountability and reporting integrity.
- Support annual giving campaigns to acquire, retain, and upgrade donor participation across multiple channels.
- Develop promotional content and presentations in alignment with brand standards, shared across regional foundations.
- Onboard and guide volunteer board members, fostering a culture of active participation and mission alignment.
Qualifications and Experience
A bachelor’s degree is required, along with at least five years of experience in a fundraising role where annual contributions reached or exceeded $1 million. A master’s degree is preferred, as is leadership experience in nonprofit or corporate philanthropy. Certification as a CFRE, proficiency in Blackbaud software, and multilingual abilities are considered strong assets.
Work Environment
This hybrid role is based in Orlando, FL, with a schedule requiring three days on-site and two remote days. Some evenings and weekends may be necessary to support donor events and meetings.
