About the Role
The role involves leading all aspects of external financial reporting, including SEC filings, earnings releases, and regulatory compliance. The individual will work closely with accounting, tax, legal, and executive teams to ensure accuracy, transparency, and adherence to GAAP and SEC requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K reports
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather financial data and disclosures
- Serve as primary liaison with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Interpret and apply GAAP, SEC, and stock exchange rules
- Oversee the development and maintenance of reporting templates and processes
- Manage the quarterly earnings release and earnings call support materials
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams on disclosure obligations
- Ensure consistency across all public financial communications
- Lead internal reviews of reporting packages prior to submission
- Develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships
- Supervise external reporting team members and delegate responsibilities
- Implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Support special projects related to financial disclosures and compliance
- Assist in responding to SEC comment letters
- Maintain the company's disclosure controls and procedures
- Prepare executive-level presentations on reporting topics

- Support internal audit and SOX compliance initiatives
- Manage timelines and deliverables during reporting periods
- Ensure proper documentation for all reporting activities
