Jobgether is hiring a Director of Engineering to lead and scale high-performing technology teams focused on operational systems that support critical business processes. This remote role in India involves defining technology strategy, overseeing multiple engineering squads, and delivering innovative solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and experience for internal users and customers.
What You'll Do
- Define and execute the technology strategy and roadmap for operational systems, including support platforms, case management, AI-driven workflows, fraud tooling, and automation.
- Lead and grow multiple engineering teams, fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.
- Partner with Product, Data, Risk, and Operations teams to deliver tools that enhance efficiency, member experience, and operational effectiveness.
- Drive reliability, scalability, and security across all operational systems and platforms.
- Champion automation, AI/ML opportunities, and data-driven decision-making to reduce operational cost and friction.
- Mentor and coach senior engineers and managers to build future leaders within the organization.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, cloud-native architectures, microservices, and event-driven systems.
What We're Looking For
- 15+ years of engineering experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles (Senior Manager/Director level).
- Proven track record of building large-scale distributed systems or workflow/operations platforms in fintech, SaaS, or high-scale consumer products.
- Ability to set long-term technology direction while remaining detail-oriented when needed.
- Strong people leadership skills with experience in growing and inspiring engineering teams.
- Solid technical foundation in cloud-native architectures, microservices, event-driven systems, and data platforms (AWS or GCP).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with support platforms, back-office systems, or risk/compliance tooling (bonus for KYC/AML/fraud systems).
- Passion for automation, operational efficiency, and ideally experience with AI/ML in support or risk domains.
