About the Role

The Raspberry Pi Foundation seeks a Director of Curriculum and Resources to lead the development of our global curriculum resources and learning products. You will shape materials used by tens of thousands of educators and millions of students worldwide, championing inclusive and research-informed approaches while contributing to the organisation's strategic direction.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development of the Foundation's global curriculum, resources, and learning products for both formal and non-formal learning, including Experience AI, Code Club Projects, and a new Data Science curriculum.
  • Champion inclusive and research-informed approaches, ensuring user insights and feedback are gathered and used to drive improvement.
  • Establish and oversee quality assurance systems for all curriculum products, ensuring alignment with the Foundation's teaching and learning principles.
  • Work closely with the Research and Impact team to integrate findings into the design and iteration of curriculum resources.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organisation, including Digital Products, Professional Development, and market-based teams.
  • Lead, support, and mentor a team of curriculum specialists, fostering a strong culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide professional leadership to learning teams embedded in markets, assisting with hiring, objective setting, mentoring, and training.
  • Represent the Foundation externally, sharing our approach to curriculum design and learning innovation with partners, funders, and international audiences.
  • As a member of the Leadership team, contribute to the strategic direction, culture, and values of the organisation.

What We're Looking For

  • Significant experience leading the design and development of curriculum resources for young people in formal or non-formal education.
  • A deep understanding of computer science education, including subject knowledge and pedagogy.
  • Experience overseeing or managing complex, cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with colleagues from different disciplines.
  • A commitment to inclusive design, with experience engaging users and harnessing insights to shape and improve curriculum and resources.
  • Understanding of quality assurance methods and processes, with experience developing standards, frameworks, or systems for ensuring consistently high-quality outputs.
  • An experienced manager and leader with the ability to build diverse teams and support them to do great work.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to represent the Foundation externally and build strong networks.
  • A commitment to the mission and values of the Raspberry Pi Foundation.
  • You must be eligible to work in the US.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working across multiple national and cultural contexts.
  • A qualification in computer science or a related subject.
  • Experience managing remote teams.

Team & Environment

You will lead a highly skilled team of curriculum specialists and provide professional leadership to learning teams embedded in market teams, specifically in India and Kenya. You will report to the Chief Learning Officer.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation: $120,000 - $175,000 p.a. full-time equivalent, dependent on experience.
  • 15 days annual leave plus public holidays (prorated for part-time employees).
  • Option of buying up to 2 working weeks extra annual leave per year.
  • Company-wide close down for 3 days at the end of the year.
  • Paid sabbatical leave (after 7 years of service).

Work Mode

This is a global role. You must be based in and eligible to work from Georgia or Minnesota, USA.
