Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team specializing in settlements and negotiation activities
- Drive monthly performance results aligned with key metrics on settlement offers, counteroffers, and closure rates
- Manage high-complexity settlement discussions, including interactions with insurers and claims adjusters
- Develop and refine strategies for claims negotiation, case valuation, and settlement authority protocols
- Review and guide the team's negotiation tactics, offers, and counteroffers
- Ensure precise execution and documentation of all settlement agreements
- Track case pipeline progress, including negotiation stages and resolution timelines
- Provide leadership coaching, conduct performance reviews, and support team growth
- Enforce standards for productivity, accuracy, and client service across all case stages
- Manage escalated and high-value claims requiring advanced negotiation
- Analyze settlement data to identify trends in outcomes, success rates, and processing times
- Implement quality assurance through audits of negotiation strategies and documentation
- Identify inefficiencies and lead process improvements in settlement workflows
- Strengthen department-wide negotiation capabilities and expertise
- Collaborate with leadership on recruitment, onboarding, and talent development
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices
