Bombardier is seeking a Director of After-Sales Engineering to provide strategic, technical, and organizational leadership for all after-sales engineering activities. This includes Business Aircraft Services (BAS), New Product Development for After-Sales (NPD), and In-Service Engineering (ISE). You will be responsible for ensuring the design and delivery of safe, compliant, and high-caliber engineering solutions that directly contribute to after-sales revenue growth, fleet reliability, operational safety, and an optimized customer experience.
What You'll Do
- Provide overall leadership in After-Sales Engineering, encompassing BAS engineering, After-Sales NPD, and ISE.
- Define strategies, priorities, and resource plans aligned with business objectives, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop multi-year strategic plans in collaboration with finance, program management, and senior leadership.
- Lead Integrated Product Development Teams (IPDT) to deliver modifications, STCs, service bulletins, and new after-sales products from concept to certification.
- Monitor and control engineering costs, resources, and external expenditures to preserve profitability while safeguarding safety, quality, and timelines.
- Support profitability analyses for after-sales investments, ensuring a clear ROI.
- Provide effective engineering support for in-service aircraft, including issue resolution, AOG support, and operational safety matters.
- Promote operational excellence through governance, KPIs, risk management, and continuous improvement.
- Support customer-facing activities by providing credible technical leadership, solutions, and strategic direction.
- Lead and develop the management team, section chiefs, technical integrators, and senior engineers.
- Build a strong engineering culture focused on accountability, safety, quality, and technical excellence.
- Manage performance, talent, and succession planning, while forecasting workforce needs to support future growth.
- Foster engagement, inclusion, and continuous learning to create an environment where everyone can grow.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
- Over 15 years of experience in aerospace engineering, including after-sales, aircraft modification, certification, and/or in-service support.
- Proven experience leading large, multidisciplinary engineering organizations.
- Strong knowledge of airworthiness, certification, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex programs, manage risk, and deliver results in a dynamic business environment.

- Advanced degree in Engineering or Management.
- Experience working with international engineering teams and external regulatory authorities.
- Proven success in leading organizational transformations and continuous improvement initiatives.
