Responsibilities
- Create and implement the worldwide raw material quality strategy covering fabrics, trims, prints, washes, and embellishments.
- Set up uniform quality engineering procedures across all sourcing countries.
- Define key performance indicators, scorecards, and goals for continuous improvement in material quality.
- Establish and enforce quality engineering standards to enhance material performance and reliability.
- Perform on-site mill audits to assess capabilities, verify processes, and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and manage mill accreditation programs to cultivate a high-performing and dependable supplier base.
- Oversee bulk material quality execution to ensure compliance with standards and reduce defects.
- Collaborate with Material Innovation teams to ensure quality standards adapt to new materials.
- Investigate root causes of material quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide oversight for physical, chemical, and performance testing, failure management, and lab accreditation.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to efficiently resolve escalated quality issues.
- Shift quality processes from reactive testing to proactive prevention and continuous improvement.
- Strengthen supplier performance through data-driven insights, audits, and capability-building initiatives.
