Pilot Company is looking for a Director to lead and direct operations for all Midstream processing plants, laboratories, and the engineering team in Phoenix, Arizona. This critical leadership role ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all Midstream facilities through robust process safety and asset integrity management, all within a people-first culture dedicated to fueling people and keeping North America moving.
What You'll Do
- Direct and develop Midstream team members, including management, at all processing facilities, assurance laboratories, and engineering teams.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all Midstream facilities through the application of proper process safety and asset integrity management practices.
- Maximize return on assets and profitability through commercial initiatives, approved high-ROI projects, expense control, operational efficiencies, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper product inventory reconciliation and management at all processing facilities.
- Prepare and submit budgets and KPIs for management approval, including operating and capital expense budgets and key safety, operational, and financial metrics.
- Manage assigned projects in coordination with team members from across departments including Engineering, Operations, IT, Legal, Supply, Trading, Marketing, Logistics, and Accounting.
- Ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of industrial control and automation systems, including related devices and field instrumentation.
- Ensure all new construction, installations, and improvements conform with approved proposals, designs, permits, regulations, and budgets.
- Ensure proper application and adherence to environmental, health, safety, and Process Safety Management standards, including Management of Change processes.
- Enforce strict adherence to safe work practices, programs, and permits for all employees and contractors.
- Model behaviors that support the company's common purpose and ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level.
- Ensure all activities comply with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- A BS or BA is required.
- A BS or BA in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or an equivalent field is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant industry management experience is required.
