Bose Corporation seeks a Director to lead its Consumer Product Systems Software Engineering team. At Bose, a privately owned company built on innovation and engineering excellence, you will be responsible for delivering the software experiences for our consumer products, including headphones, earbuds, speakers, and soundbars. You will leverage your expertise in embedded systems and software development to manage program execution and product quality.
What You'll Do
- Lead embedded system and software teams to deliver all consumer products according to the product roadmap.
- Build systems, software, and firmware capabilities and partner with the product team to drive innovation.
- Develop a high-performing product systems and software engineering team and an efficient operating model to deliver multiple products per year.
- Partner with product management, category centers of excellence, platforms, hardware, and quality teams to align software delivery with product priorities.
- Act as a change agent, continuously improving our ability to deliver exceptional experiences for customers.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- 10+ years leading large product engineering development teams of 100+ engineers in consumer electronics or a related industry.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership ability.
- 10+ years of hands-on software development and past coding experience with modern programming languages.
- Experience managing and developing teams globally across multiple regions.
- Experience developing software stacks within complex ecosystems including Cloud, and Mobile Applications using Android and iOS.
- Experience delivering programs with a mix of fixed and flexible resources globally.
- Experience recruiting and growing software talent at all levels of the organization.
- A track record of driving cross-functional improvement with software platform, hardware, QA, UX, and product management teams.
- Ability to travel 20%.

- An advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience leading software engineering and delivery functions for new and in-market consumer electronics products is highly desired.

Compensation for the primary work location in Framingham, Massachusetts is $205,300-$282,250.
