The company is recruiting a strategic Government Affairs Director who will collaborate directly with the Vice President of Government Affairs and Patient Advocacy. This pivotal role involves crafting, implementing, and executing comprehensive governmental strategies surrounding brain health disorders and behavioral health conditions. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication abilities, demonstrate proactive leadership, manage complex priorities efficiently, and provide strategic guidance to key organizational leaders. They must effectively collaborate across multiple internal departments, including corporate communications, legal, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, and market access teams. Roles and Responsibilities: - Track state legislative and regulatory activities, analyzing potential organizational impacts - Develop and implement strategic policy initiatives supporting enterprise priorities - Create proactive and reactive policy frameworks to advance organizational pipeline - Evaluate public policy environments and recommend appropriate organizational actions - Cultivate robust relationships with state and regional healthcare policy stakeholders - Engage with third-party groups sharing similar policy objectives - Develop comprehensive internal collaborations to align advocacy strategies with commercial goals Experience and Qualifications: Must excel in dynamic, innovative environments while maintaining flexibility, resourcefulness, and efficiency. Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder relationship development are critical. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree required - 8+ years experience in government affairs, public policy, or advocacy - Comprehensive understanding of U.S. healthcare system structures - Proven track record identifying public health policy trends - Demonstrated ability to execute comprehensive government affairs strategies Preferred Qualifications: - 8-10 years government/policy experience - Pharmaceutical or healthcare trade association background - Cross-functional collaboration skills - Innovative problem-solving capabilities - Extensive management interaction experience - Solution-oriented team player - Exceptional written and verbal communication - 50% domestic travel requirement Compensation Range: $214,610.00 - $245,380.00, determined by experience, skills, and geographic location.
