Responsibilities
- Manage multiple engineering teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and operational efficiency.
- Guide engineering managers and senior engineers in leadership growth and professional development.
- Drive recruitment, hiring, and retention strategies to build high-performing, diverse engineering teams.
- Promote a culture of ownership and pride in both product outcomes and company mission.
- Cultivate an inclusive, innovative engineering environment that supports collaboration and diversity.
- Instill a mindset of proactive problem-solving and urgency in addressing production issues affecting clients.
- Encourage team members to contribute solutions, not just identify challenges.
- Define and communicate a long-term technical vision that supports business objectives.
- Partner with executive leadership to convert business requirements into engineering initiatives.
- Work with product teams to prioritize and develop the engineering roadmap with effective resource allocation.
- Oversee engineering budget planning and execution, balancing cost efficiency with project demands.
- Ensure team compliance with software development standards including agile practices, automated testing, scalability, and service-oriented architecture.
- Continuously evaluate and improve development workflows to enhance efficiency and cross-team collaboration.
- Lead the design and implementation of highly scalable, fault-tolerant software systems.
- Report regularly to executives on technical progress, challenges, and project results to inform strategic decisions.
- Align stakeholders across product, operations, and business functions on technical priorities and expectations.
- Engage with key clients and external partners when needed to support technical delivery and provide expert insight.
