As Director, Distribution Sales, you will shape and execute the strategic direction for a national distribution network, focusing on revenue expansion, market development, and operational excellence. You are responsible for building and managing a high-performing sales team, setting performance targets, and ensuring accountability across distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual business plans to grow revenue, expand market share, and strengthen distribution infrastructure
- Identify and onboard new distribution partners, define performance expectations, and lead contract negotiations
- Oversee logistics, freight, and transportation operations to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency
- Own the profit and loss for the distribution segment, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in sales, marketing, operations, and finance to align go-to-market strategies
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to adapt sales approaches
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and C-TPAT standards
- Recruit, train, and mentor distribution relationship managers to drive team performance
- Champion lean principles and continuous improvement in distribution operations
- Serve as the primary liaison between leadership and key distributor accounts
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business or Supply Chain; 7+ years of leadership experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain sales; proven expertise in freight optimization, transportation, and ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365. Demonstrated success in P&L management, cost reduction, and team leadership. Must be comfortable traveling 50–70% of the time.
Preferred: Experience leading both union and non-union teams.

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $140,000–$185,000, with bonus eligibility.
