Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of complex data programs, including planning, risk tracking, dependency coordination, and executive reporting using RAID logs.
- Establish and refine agile practices such as Scrum and Kanban, ensuring effective backlog management, forecasting, and release execution across data teams.
- Ensure data solutions follow established architectural patterns like medallion layers and enforce data contracts, CI/CD pipelines, and governance standards.
- Oversee setup and management of secure, cost-effective cloud environments on Snowflake and Azure, including ADF/Fabric, Databricks, Synapse, Key Vault, and Purview.
- Act as primary client liaison, leading steering meetings, managing scope changes, and aligning stakeholders to ensure solution adoption.
- Manage commercial aspects including statement of work, team resourcing, budget forecasting, and delivery quality tied to business KPIs.
- Mentor project managers and technical leads; develop standardized delivery methods and support pre-sales activities when needed.
- Travel to client locations as required for on-site engagement and collaboration.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years in technology delivery, with at least 5 years leading data or analytics programs in consulting or professional services environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale programs valued between $1M and $5M+ with geographically dispersed teams.
- Direct experience with Snowflake (including warehouses, role-based access, and performance optimization) and Azure data platforms such as ADF/Fabric, Databricks, Synapse, ADLS, and security configurations.
- Proficiency in agile methodologies, Jira or Azure DevOps, release planning, and CI/CD workflows for data using Git and environment management.
- Hands-on implementation of medallion zone architectures, lakehouse designs, data modeling, and data quality and monitoring practices.
- Proven ability to engage and manage relationships with senior executives, with strong communication and reporting skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience in regulated sectors, data cost optimization, compliance frameworks like GDPR or CCPA, and enabling analytics through Power BI or Fabric.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or SAFe; Snowflake SnowPro; or Microsoft Azure (DP-203, AZ-305) are advantageous.

What You’ll Bring

- Hands-on familiarity with Snowflake (warehouses, RBAC, performance/cost tuning) and Azure data services (ADF/Fabric, Databricks, Synapse, ADLS, networking & security).
- Strong command of agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban), Jira/Azure DevOps, release planning, and CI/CD for data (Git-based workflows, environments).
- Practical experience implementing medallion architectures and lakehouse patterns, data modeling, and data quality/observability.
- Stakeholder management at VP/C-suite level; crisp written/oral communication and executive reporting.
Nice to have
- Regulated industries, FinOps for data platforms, data privacy/compliance (GDPR/CCPA), and analytics enablement (Power BI/Fabric).
- Preferred requirements: BS/MS in CS, IS, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or SAFe; Snowflake SnowPro; Microsoft Azure (DP-203, AZ-305) a plus.
